Context
The current anthem uses a melody from 1950 but received new lyrics in 2006. The original Soviet-era lyrics praised Marxism and the Soviet Union. After Mongolia's transition to democracy in 1990, the lyrics were revised to focus on Mongolian identity, land, and heritage instead of communist ideology.
