Context
Adopted in 2007 after Nepal transitioned from a monarchy to a federal democratic republic. The anthem replaced the previous royal anthem 'Shreeman Gambhir.' Written by Pradeep Kumar Rai (pen name Byakul Maila) with music by Amber Gurung. It celebrates Nepal's diversity, geography, and sovereignty.
