Context
Written by France Preseren in 1844, Slovenia's greatest poet. The anthem uses only the seventh stanza of the original poem, which is a toast to international brotherhood. Adopted in 1989 as Slovenia moved toward independence from Yugoslavia.

ki hrepenijo dočakat' dan,
