Context

Adopted in 1999 as an instrumental-only anthem after the Bosnian War. The previous anthem with lyrics could not achieve consensus among Bosnia's three constituent peoples (Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs). Composer Dusan Sestic won an international competition for the melody.
