Context
Originally written in 1872 by Jovan Djordjevic with music by Slovenian composer Davorin Jenko. It served as Serbia's anthem in the 19th century, was replaced during the Yugoslav era, and was restored in 2006 when Serbia became independent again after Montenegro's departure.
