Faits essentiels
- 1. George Kakoma a composé l'hymne alors qu'il étudiait au Trinity College of Music à Londres, le soumettant par voie postale au concours national
- 2. L'Ouganda abrite les sources du Nil, le plus long fleuve du monde, un fait de fierté nationale bien que non mentionné dans l'hymne
- 3. L'hymne a survécu sans changement à travers les régimes turbulents d'Idi Amin et Milton Obote, servant de symbole de continuité nationale
