Faits essentiels
- 1. Le Zimbabwe a changé d'hymne national à plusieurs reprises : « God Save the Queen » pendant l'ère coloniale, puis « Ishe Komborera Africa » de 1980 à 1994, avant l'hymne actuel
- 2. Le pays tire son nom des ruines du Grand Zimbabwe, un complexe de pierre monumentale du XIe siècle qui prouve l'existence d'une civilisation avancée en Afrique australe pré-coloniale
- 3. L'hymne fait référence aux fleuves Zambèze et Limpopo, qui forment les frontières naturelles du pays au nord et au sud
